Brian was born and raised in Iowa. He grew up in the small town of Ida Grove. He graduated from Iowa State University with a BBA in Finance. (fun fact, his family is 4 for 4 attending ISU). They enjoy following ISU athletics including football, basketball, golf and wrestling.

Brian spent the first 9 years of his career in banking and finance. He spent time at Wells Fargo and US Bank in retail, credit analysis, business banking, and mid-market commercial lending, finally serving as Vice President and voting member of their loan committee.

In 1994, IFC owners approached him about a long- term buyout and ownership in IFC. From 1994 to 2003 he was the President and lead marketing person, establishing new relationships throughout the managing general agent network. In 2003, he became sole owner of IFC.

Today as CEO, he spends his time on the road continuing to market to new agencies across the US. He loves building IFC as an independent company specializing in relationship centered partnerships.

When he is not working, you will probably find him on a top 100 golf course as he fulfills his leisure time as a rater for GOLF DIGEST. (little known fact – he used to be a high school and collegiate wrestling official)

A proud native Iowan, Brian graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Speech & Communications and a minor in Business Mktg.

Brian spent twenty two plus years in local broadcast television. First, as an advertising sales consultant for two local television stations in Iowa where he assisted local, regional and national companies in developing effective advertising and marketing campaigns. Then for five years he served as both National and Local Sales Manager at the NBC affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa. Brian managed a staff of eight marketing reps and was responsible for consistently achieving the station’s annual revenue goals.

Brian made an exciting career change in July 2007 when he joined Insurance Finance Company (IFC) as a Sales Account Manager. Brian was tasked with marketing IFC’s premium finance services to new Independent Insurance Agents and Managing General Agents throughout the midwest.

In January 2011, Brian was promoted to Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. He was responsible for achieving IFC’s overall loan volume goals on an annual basis. Brian consistently grew the business with existing clients and established strong, lasting relationships with new agency partners while assisting other sales team members in achieving their goals. Brian has served as President of Insurance Finance Company since July 2014.

When he is not working, Brian enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and their three grown boys. Brian also enjoys spending time with friends bicycling, golfing and taking a week each year to fish in Canada.

Julie Hahn serves as the Vice President of Agency Services, leveraging over three decades of experience with IFC. Her primary focus lies in providing comprehensive support to agents, encompassing tasks such as facilitating quotes and adeptly resolving any emergent challenges. Recognized for her unwavering dedication, Julie has earned the prestigious IFC Loyalty award.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Julie is passionate about travel, fitness, and fostering meaningful connections with friends. She cherishes moments spent with her two granddaughters, one grandson and her fur baby.
